ChatGPT and AI Tools for Educators: A Practical Introduction
About this course
Artificial intelligence is changing how we plan, teach and assess, and ChatGPT is often the first AI tool teachers want to master. This Erasmus+ KA1 teacher training course gives teachers, school leaders and education staff a practical, hands-on introduction to ChatGPT, Gemini and other AI tools for education. It goes beyond the hype and shows you how AI can save you time and make your lessons more engaging.
Over five days, you will learn to write effective prompts for ChatGPT and Gemini and use them for real teaching tasks:
- planning lessons and units
- creating worksheets, reading texts and differentiated materials
- generating quizzes, exam questions and rubrics
- giving students faster, more useful feedback
You will also explore AI tools for creating images, presentations and multimedia resources. Each session combines short demonstrations with practical work on your own subject and level, so everything you create is ready to use. You will also look at the ethical and safe use of AI in education: data protection, accuracy and bias, academic integrity, and how to guide students to use ChatGPT responsibly.
By the end of this professional development course, you will have a personal prompt library, a set of AI-created materials for your classes and the confidence to use AI tools in your daily teaching.
