About this course
A motivating classroom does not happen by chance: it grows from the energy, creativity and relationships that teachers bring every day. This Motivation Up course helps you create a more motivating, inclusive and positive learning environment for your students, their families and the whole school community, while recharging your own motivation and confidence.
You will explore a wide range of up-to-date strategies to make lessons more engaging, spark curiosity and participation, and create a classroom where every student feels welcome, valued and supported. The course looks at different parts of school life, including lesson planning and delivery, classroom management, assessment, organisation, teamwork and communication with families. You will also explore how to strengthen relationships and communication with colleagues to build a more collaborative school. A special focus is placed on gamification and playful learning: you will try practical resources and creative activities that make learning more enjoyable, interactive and meaningful. Through reflection, experimentation and collaboration, you will also look at your own role and find new ways to bring attention, acceptance, appreciation and positive energy into your classroom.
By the end of the course, you will have a set of practical strategies and fresh ideas to make creativity, curiosity, engagement and enjoyment part of everyday learning.
