Technology is now present in almost every classroom, but in many schools it is still used mainly for digital boards, sharing documents online or searching for information. Its real potential to transform learning is often untapped. A great deal can be achieved simply by making the most of the devices students already carry with them and use at home. This Digital Classroom course shows you how to build a truly digital classroom, step by step, in a way that makes your work easier and your lessons more engaging.
You will explore every stage of a digital learning process, from research and planning to collaboration, creation, presentation and assessment, following a project-based approach. You will learn how to use students' own mobile phones, tablets and laptops for learning in a safe and organised way, and how to choose simple digital tools for each stage of a project. You will also discover practical ways to organise digital tasks, share and give feedback on student work online and assess digital projects fairly. All activities are hands-on, so you will leave with ideas and materials ready to use in your classroom.
By the end of the course, you will have designed your own digital classroom project, from research to assessment, adapted to your subject and students.
