Climate change is one of the defining challenges of our time, and schools have a unique role in helping young people understand it and feel able to act. This Green Future course helps you understand the causes and consequences of climate change and explore practical ways education can contribute to a more sustainable future.
Over ten days, you will go beyond theory and explore the topic in depth. You will examine how climate change happens and what it means for people and the planet, explore the connections between environmental, social and economic issues, and reflect on how everyday choices can create positive change. You will learn how to talk about climate change with students in a positive, hopeful way, and discover practical ways to bring it into the curriculum, school activities and everyday learning. The longer format gives you time to work on each topic in depth, try a wide range of activities, analyse your school's environmental impact and design a complete project. Through interactive activities, reflection and practical work, you will learn to turn knowledge into action, starting with your own habits and extending your impact to students, colleagues, the school community and beyond.
By the end of the course, you will have a clear understanding of climate change, a wide set of ready-to-use activities and a complete plan to help your school build a greener future.
