STEAM (10 days)

Duration 10 days

Locations Málaga, Setúbal, Sevilla, Tenerife

Target Audience
Early Childhood & Primary Secondary

Description

Science, technology, engineering, art and maths become truly meaningful when students can explore, create and connect what they learn with the world around them. This STEAM course gives you innovative activities, resources and techniques to make your STEAM lessons more active, creative and engaging, and to inspire and motivate students in every STEAM subject.

Over ten days, you will explore each part of STEAM in depth through hands-on activities: inquiry-based science, coding and simple technology, engineering design challenges, art and creativity, and maths through real problems. You will then learn how to bring everything together in interdisciplinary projects. A special focus is placed on connecting STEAM learning with local communities and organisations, such as companies, museums, universities and associations, so students can work on real problems and see how STEAM is used in everyday life. The longer format gives you time to try a wide range of activities, plan partnerships and design a complete project. The course is ideal both for those who already teach STEAM subjects and want fresh ideas, and for those who want to introduce STEAM in their school for the first time.

By the end of the course, you will have a wide set of ready-to-use STEAM activities and a complete plan to enrich or launch STEAM education in your school.
