Every child deserves to feel understood, supported and able to succeed at school. For children with special educational needs (SEN), the difference often lies in how the adults around them respond: with understanding, empathy and the right strategy at the right moment. This Erasmus+ KA1 teacher training course gives you practical tools to manage challenging behaviour and create an inclusive, supportive classroom where every child can learn, grow and feel valued.
Over five days, you will explore effective ways to prevent and manage challenging behaviour. You will learn to understand what behaviour may be communicating and to respond calmly and consistently. You will also learn how to:
The course also focuses on individualised support: observing each child’s needs, designing tailored interventions and adapting your approach to different learning and behavioural profiles. All strategies are evidence-based and drawn from practical experience. You will practise them through case studies, role-plays and group work.
By the end of this professional development course, you will feel more confident turning difficult moments into opportunities for growth, for your students and for yourself, and ready to build a classroom culture based on respect, cooperation and enjoyment of learning.
