Advanced AI for schools: custom GPTs, automation and smart workflows
About this course
Using an AI chatbot to answer a question or draft a text is only the beginning. The real time savings and the most powerful results come when you combine several tools, build your own assistants and automate the tasks you repeat every week. This advanced AI course is designed for those who already use AI regularly and want to take the next step. It is open to teaching and non-teaching staff in secondary, vocational, higher and adult education.
Over five days, you will learn how to get the best out of the main AI tools, including ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and NotebookLM, and how to choose the right one for each task. You will master advanced prompting techniques and learn to combine several tools in efficient workflows, from researching and summarising documents to creating materials and reports. You will design and build your own custom assistants and GPTs, trained with your own instructions and documents, for tasks such as creating activities, giving feedback, answering frequent questions or preparing administrative documents. You will also learn to automate repetitive classroom and management tasks, and to apply clear rules for safe and responsible use, protecting personal data and checking every result.
By the end of the week, you will have built your own custom assistant and at least one complete AI workflow for your daily work, ready to use and share with colleagues.

- Identify which tasks in teaching and school management can be improved or automated with AI.
- Recognise how custom assistants and GPTs work, and how instructions and documents shape their answers.
- Explain the main risks of advanced AI use, including data protection, errors and over-reliance, and how to manage them.
